Olaprep is an education and academic advisory company that supports families through every stage of a child’s academic journey.

We combine tutoring, mentoring, school and university guidance, and long-term academic planning to help students improve academically, grow in confidence, and make better decisions about their future.

No. Tutoring is only one part of what we do.

We begin by understanding the student properly -  how they learn, what is holding them back, where they are struggling, and what they should realistically be aiming for.

From there, we build the right support structure around them. This may include tutoring, mentoring, university guidance, exam preparation, internship support, school placement advice, or ongoing academic management for the family.

We support students across a wide range of subjects and academic pathways, including GCSEs, IGCSEs, A-Levels, IB, university admissions tests, and undergraduate support.

More importantly, we focus on finding the right fit for each student. Every family begins with an assessment process so we can understand the student’s learning style, strengths, weaknesses, and goals before recommending one of our tutors or mentors.

Families also receive regular progress updates and ongoing guidance throughout the process.

Our mentors support students beyond academics.

Depending on the student, mentoring may include:

• Building confidence and motivation
• Improving discipline and study habits
• Time management and organisation
• Academic planning and goal setting
• Guidance around sixth form and university choices
• Preparation for interviews and applications
• Support identifying meaningful opportunities, competitions, internships, and extracurricular activities

Where possible, students are paired with mentors who have experience in the paths they are interested in pursuing themselves.

• Helping students significantly improve their grades and confidence
• Supporting families through GCSE, A-Level, IB, and university preparation
• Advising on school, sixth form, and university choices
• Supporting students through difficult academic transitions
• Helping students reposition themselves after setbacks at school or university
• Assisting families during periods of uncertainty around predicted grades, results, or university decisions
• Providing guidance during communication challenges between families and schools
• Helping students identify stronger academic and early-career opportunities aligned with their strengths

Yes. We support families with university planning and applications in the UK and internationally.

This may include:

• Choosing the right course and university
• UCAS applications
• Personal statements
• Oxbridge preparation
• Admissions tests and interviews
• Results Day and Clearing guidance
• Advice around transfers, resits, or changing direction

Yes. We advise families on school and sixth form decisions, including boarding schools, competitive entry points, scholarships, and international transitions.

Our role is to help families make informed decisions that suit the student academically and personally.

Parents receive regular updates and have ongoing access to the team so they understand how the student is progressing and where additional support may be needed.

Yes. In many cases, academic struggles are not only caused by subject difficulty.

Students may be overwhelmed, disorganised, discouraged, lacking confidence, or unsure about what they are working towards. This is why our mentoring and strategic guidance are often just as important as tutoring itself.
